A warm welcome to Ysgol Gymraeg Dyffryn y Glowyr website.\u00a0 The website aims to provide essential information about the organisation of our school and the curriculum, as well as information about the numerous events and activities that are part of our extra-curricular provision.<\/p>\n
Ysgol Gymraeg Dyffryn y Glowyr opened in January 2013 in a new building with purposeful facilities. The school is an area school with pupils attending from a wide catchment area.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Welsh is the official language of the school. In reception, year 1 and year 2, Welsh is the main medium of learning. \u00a0In the junior classes, both Welsh and English are used in the learning process with the aim of enabling pupils to become fully bilingual by the time of transfer to the secondary school.<\/p>\n
The aim of the school is to give every pupil the opportunity to realise their full potential in a caring and supportive environment. We aim to ensure that our pupils achieve the highest possible standards and provide every assistance to enable them to achieve this. In addition, we give high priority to children’s personal and social development in order to help them to develop into mature and responsible citizens in the future.<\/p>\n
